Federal Parliament (TFP) Visits MU

A delegation headed by Mr. Shariff Hassan, speaker of TFP and included members of TFG and TFP had paid a courtesy visit to Mogadishu University as part of their tour in Mogadishu last week. Vice-president Dr. Ali Hassan, deans of the faculties, members of the faculties and students welcomed the delegation. Both the speaker and vice-president exchanged emotional words in which the speaker thanked MU for its pioneering role in advancing higher education in Somalia and the vice-president expressed the readiness of the students and staff of MU to work with the newly formed Somali overnment.

Population of Mogadishu are strong supporters of the government formed in Kenya, however, they critically oppose sending frontline peace keeping forces to Somalia.
