Student Affairs Organizes Cultural Week for the 12th Batch of the Academic Year 2008/2009

The student affairs office organized a cultural week for welcoming the students of the 12th batch of the academic year 2008/2009. More than 800 students enrolled to the various faculties and departments of the university in this academic year.

The aim of the cultural week, which the university organizes at the beginning of every academic year, is to introduce the new students to the university, its regulations and rules and the nature of the higher education and its requirements.

Dr. Ali Hassan Mohamed, the Vice President of the Academic Affairs, participated in the opening ceremony of the cultural week activities. In his speech, he welcomed all new students, professors, deans of the faculties, head of the departments, directors and other respectful participants, hoping the cultural week to be good opportunity for the students.

In the ceremony, many distinguished individuals including MU President Dr. Ali Sheikh, vice-president of the academic affairs Dr. Ali Hassan, Deans of the faculties, Admission and Registration officer, lecturers, respectful guests as well as the different parts of the local and international media were invited on it.

In the closing of the program, Dr. Ali Sheikh Ahmed, MU President advised the students to keep their ambitions and continue the study with hard work and great efforts.
