The Cairo Cultural Week

In the period of 8-13 April 05, the Somali Students Club
in Cairo have called it the Cairo Cultural Week. During this
Cairo Week, Mr. Hussein M. Iman, who is a founding member
of the Mogadishu University (MU) have conducted a series of
lively seminars and meetings for the Somali student groups
in the Egyptian Universities. Also some of the Somali elderly
community members in Cairo participated the meetings.
The Somali Club and Community members in Cairo provided the
space for carrying out the cultural week activities. The issues
addressed during the Cairo Week were of great interest for
the participants and consisted of different topics and varied
in scope: Time Management for College Students, Goal Setting
for Personal Development, Hazardous Waste Damping in the Somalia,
Why Somalia Fell Behind the World of Nations, and many more.
The Cairo people liked these activities, and praised the MU
role in the promotion of the Somali education. Some of the
former MU graduates who were pursuing their graduate programs
in different universities in Cairo were among those who met
Mr Iman in Cairo, and were proud of being in the MU alumnai
members.
