Books & Reference Donated to
Mogadishu University Library

Today 28 Dec 2004, a reception ceremony held in MU H.Q. for the collection of different books & references gifted to Mogadishu University Library from Dr. Ismail Ali Siad and Mr. Hussein Mohamed Sh. Nur, members in teaching staff of Assuption University in Thailand.

Mr. Kamaludin Sh. Ahmed Mohamoud (Amore), student in the Faculty of Economics & Management Science of Mogadishu University, and his father had arranged the process of donating books to MU.

President of Mogadishu University, his deputy in academic affairs, dean of the faculty of Economics & Management Science, Director Information & Public Relation Office, and others of MU officials attended this ceremony.

The participants discussed about the importance of this kind of contribution and its significance for Somali researchers and students. Similarly, they talked about the role of Mogadishu University in Somali Higher Education and to build a civilized community based on knowledge and work, despite this critical circumstance, which Somalia dates.

At the end of the ceremony, President of Mogadishu University Dr. Ali Sh. Ahmed, considered this as a pivotal step and valuable gift from honorable Somalis to their nation and people through Mogadishu University, in order to be benefited by Somali students and researchers.
