MU Participates in African Capacity Enhancement Program (ACEP) Workshop

A team from Mogadishu University returned to Mogadishu , after participating a workshop for African Capacity Enhancement program (ACEP) held in Dakar , Senegal from 11 th to 15 th of February 2008, hosted by African Virtual University . Participants from 13 other African Universities also took part to the workshop.
The AVU Capacity Enhancement Program (ACEP) is designed to provide comprehensive, high quality training in Open Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) fields:
- Governance, Management and Funding;
- Delivery and Technology; and
- Material Development.
The goal of the ACEP is to build, within each of the AVU partner institutions, a team of experts who will be able to promote, guide and facilitate the development, delivery and management of ODeL programs.
A team of experts drawn from the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC), in conjunction with memorial University of Newfoundland and the University of Ottawa , facilitated the three domains of the ACEP training.
This occasion was good chance to MU based on the elimination of time and distance barriers to education.
