The 40th Session of Association of Arab Universities Opens in Yemen

His Excellency Dr. Ali Sheikh Ahmed , president of Mogadishu University along with MU delegation participated in the 40th session of Association of Arab Universities which was held at University of Science and Technology in Yemen from 20- 22 April 2007.

About 150 presidents of Arab universities and other delegations from regional and international organizations participated in the conference. The Conference opened with discussion on secretarial report between period of the two sessions, emphasized quality assurance in Arab universities, work plan and membership requests from several universities.

In the conclusion of the conference the participants called for holding another conference dealing with the importance of the scientific research for solving the problems of Arab world as well as setting priorities for these problems.
