Cultural week for the 11th Batch in the academic year 2007 - 2008

The student affairs office has organized a cultural week for welcoming the 13 th batch - in the academic year 2007/2008 that was held in the main campus in the period of 1-5/9/2007. More than 800 students enrolled to the various faculties and departments of the university in this academic year.

The aim of the cultural week, which the university organizes every year is to introduce the university, its regulations and rules as well as orientation about the nature of the higher education and its requirements.

Dr. Ali Hassan Mohamed, the vice president of the academic affairs, participated in the opening ceremony of the cultural week activities. In his speech, he welcomed all new students, professors, deans of the faculties, head of the departments, directors and other respectful participants, hoping the cultural week to be good opportunity for the students.

The cultural week programs include: lectures, films and an open activity such sport activities, debates and general quiz.

At the end, a large closing ceremony was held, which was organized by the students in coordination with the Student Affairs Office.

In the ceremony, many eminent individuals including vice-president of the academic affairs Dr. Ali Hassan, Deans of the faculties, Admission and Registration officer, lecturers, respectful guests as well as the different parts of the local and international media were invited on it.

t the closing of the program, Dr. Ali Hassan Mohamed advised the students to keep their ambitions and continue the study with hard work and great efforts.
