The 2nd batch Graduation Ceremony with Bachelor Degree (Bsc Nursing)
Mogadishu University (MU), Faculty of Nursing enthusiastically inaugurated the 2nd batch graduation nursing students; the ceremony was held in the New Campus of Mogadishu University on 19 July 2007 .
32 (20 males and 12 Females) obtained a BSc. Degree in Nursing from the Faculty of Nursing of Mogadishu University in the academic year 2006-2007.
This Bath is the 2nd group with similar events of MU and is a historical on it is own and also a victory for a war tone country for nearly two decades.
In 2000/2001 Academic year, MU established a high institute of nursing with 3 years program, 3 batches successfully graduated from the high institute of nursing.
Then the MU Academic Counsel decided to upgrade the high institute of nursing into a Faculty of Nursing with 4 years program which offers a Bachelor Degree ( Bsc. Nursing).
So far, the total graduated nurses from MU are 120 in 5th batches as fellows;
60 nurses are obtained a Bachelor Degree in general nursing and midwifery in two batches (28 & 32 in 4th and 5th respectively) and the other 60 nurses in 3 batches received a High Diploma in general nursing and midwifery (16, 18, and 26 respectively).
MU nursing graduates are young, fresh and bilingual (English & Arabic) and had general secondary school certificates before the enrollment of MU.
The MU nursing graduates had great achievement and recognitions from the National & International levels including international NGOs working in Somalia such as MFS- Belgium working in Istarlin Hospital- Guri El, Galgudud and Huddur general Hospital in Bakol Region.
Also MSF- Holland working in Galkacyo South Gerenal Hospital and in Mogadishu ect. |
