The 12th Conference of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World Opens in Kuwait

President of Mogadishu University, Dr. Ali Sheikh participated in the 12th session of the Executive Council for Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World that was held at Kuwait University in Kuwait from 2nd to 5th April 2007.

In the opening ceremony of the conference Dr Abdulla Al-Fuhaid, president of Kuwait University, welcomed the Executive Council. Then secretary general of FUIW Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijari presented a report on secretarial activities between the two sessions for Executive council.

He also presented in the session annual financial report of 2006, work plan and budgets for years (2007-2009) as well as ways of improvement for the project of Virtual Islamic University.

At the end of the conference, the Executive Council recommended improvements for higher education in the Islamic world.
