The 10 th International Congress of Somali Studies in Djibouti
A delegation from Mogadishu University led by the vice president of the academic affairs Dr. Ali Hassan Mohamed arrived to the Campus of the university today, after participating in the 10th International Conference of Somali Studies – Part II in the period of 13 – 15/ December/2007. The group presented in the congress with delighted various research papers.
Djibouti University has hosted the congress with collaboration of Somali studies international association. The prime minister of Djibouti opened the congress and warmly welcomed all participants to the country. His excellence, the prime minister appreciated the significance of research and study to the community development and hoped the congress with success results.
Prominent individuals of Somali Scholars and other international intellectuals having deep experience of Somali Studies from various Universities and international institutions participated in this congress. Different Studies and researches on diverse aspects of Somali issues were presented and discussed in the conference.
The assembly was effective with remarkable performance and provided recommends of developing the study.
At the end, the participants were taken in a tour to the main historical locations in Republic of Djibouti.
